- All the citizens five years old and above are welcome to bring your original documents of Residence Registration or ID Card to apply for the library card. The card is acceptable in all our branch libraries in Kaohsiung (including Kaohsiung City Chiang Kai-Shek Culture Center Library).
- Each reader is allowed to borrow five volumes of books, two copies of back issues of periodicals, one video and one tape (due in twenty-eight days).
- In the cases when the reader fails to return the borrowed materials in due time, after three days, for each expired day, our library will stop his borrowing right for one day. In the cases of lost materials, destruction or making notes on the book(s) or document(s) borrowed, the reader will have to purchase the same or newest version of the borrowed subject. If the borrowed subject is out of print, the reader should pay cash as compensation (books published over five years, double the price), or purchase the same catalogue and equal value books or documents as compensation.
- On holidays or on days when the library is closed, readers may drop books in our holiday returning boxes (except audio materials).
