How can I donate books to the library?
1. In addition to purchasing new books, the library also accepts books donated by the public or governmental organizations.
2. Due to limited storage space, the library only accepts books published in the past 5 years (except books with high retail or academic value). We do not accept periodicals, textbooks, binder files, booklets, exam preparation guides, religious publications (including books on astrology and feng-shui or geomancy). The library reserves all rights pertaining to the handling of donated books, including donating to other organizations or disposing due to damages. Donors may not make any request or demand the return of donated books after the donation procedure is complete. To make a donation, contact your nearest branch library or Main Library Division 1 (Book Handling Department).
3. Please leave your name, phone number, and address if a letter of appreciation from the library is desired.
4. The library also offers pick-up service for high-volume donation (over 100 volumes), elderly donors or donors with disabilities. Please call us at (07) 5360238*5106 to make a pick-up arrangement.
5. Please fill out a book donation declaration form when making a donation. Donor is considered agreeing to all terms and conditions of the declaration form if a form is not submitted at the time of donation.
