Standards for Library Behavior
Dadong Arts Library is the first public “arts library” nationwide, which establishes and enhances the education and the knowledge in aesthetics to further promote the artistic appreciation of the public.
To ensure all customers can use and enjoy the Library’s resources, services, and facilities, please follow the rules listed below. According to paragraph two, Article 5, of Kaohsiung Public Library General Rules & Regulations, Failure to comply with the library’s established policies may result in suspension or expulsion from the library. If deemed necessary by library staff, city police or other law enforcement personnel will be called. Violators may be subject to arrest.

Any pets or animals are prohibited except guide dogs or assistance animals. |

Please wear shirts and shoes to enter the library. While in the Library, please walk lightly. |

Please turn your phone rings off and set to vibrate. If you need to use your phone, please go to the restroom or the outside area. |

Do not make any loud or unreasonable noise. Any disturbance, including disruptive use of personal communications or entertainment devices, is prohibited. |

Parents/guardians/caregivers are responsible for monitoring the activities and for regulating the behavior of their children while in the Library. Children under the age of six may not be left unattended at any time. |

Do not bring in packaged or unpackaged food and beverages. No eating, drinking (except water in covered containers), chewing gum, betel nuts, or smoking of any type, is allowed. |

Free filtered drinking water is provided. Please self-prepare a reusable bottle or container as we do not provide disposable cups. Do not use Library facilities for other than their intended purpose. Users are responsible for facilities damaged by misusing or inappropriate operating. |

Power outlets on the seats are for use of doing art research only. Other power outlets in the library are not for public use. |

Lockers are available for use during regular opening hours. No dangerous objects, perishable items or illegal substance may be placed in the lockers. All items will be removed from the lockers when the Library closes. The Library will not accept any liability for lost, damaged or stolen items, however caused. |

Do not occupy seats. Items left on the seat will be removed once the owner leaves the seat for over 30 minutes, and the seat will be available to other users. The Library will not accept any liability for lost, damaged or stolen items, however caused. |

Do not move any equipment around. Users will be held responsible for any loss or damage, due to inappropriate operation, to all equipment that they use. Please feel free to ask the staff for help. |
