Mr. Salazar is currently the Director of the San Antonio Public Library

which consists of a central library, 25 branch libraries, 540 employees,

and an operating budget of $35,000,000 .
 

Mr. Salazar reports to the Library Board of Trustees and works

collaborative with the City Manager for the City of San Antonio to

provide management oversight of the library system. Mr. Salazar also

works directly with the San Antonio Public Library Foundation and the

Friends of San Antonio Public Library to enhance the resources of the

library system.
 

Mr. Salazar has been involved in the design and construction of at least

20 library facilities throughout his career. In all of his positions, Mr.

Salazar has aimed to serve as a “change agent” to affect innovation and

process improvements.
