《高雄城交通小達人》《交通標誌小神探》為高雄在地作家林秀穗老師、廖健宏老師帶領福東國小的小朋友們共同創作的作品，從故事腳本、角色設計到圖像繪製，都充滿童趣與以小朋友的視角，生動地描繪出各種道路危險畫面，童趣場景傳達「誰才是道路的主人」；另外，也可藉由親子共讀時，傳達「公共通行權」正確觀念。

本專案透過全國圖書教師輔導團媒合具有30年教學經驗的仁武高中加拿大籍教師 Zimmer Nancy Bernadette 完成錄製繪本。透過配樂及抑揚頓挫的語調節奏，為繪本故事增添活潑的氛圍。教師或家長可利用有聲書作為語言教材，與學童們一同進入故事情境，並從中學習英語意涵與字彙。

“Kaohsiung City: Little Transportation Experts” and “The Traffic Sign Detective” are collaborative works created by Kaohsiung-based authors Lin Xiui-Sui and Liao Chien-Hung, together with students from Fudong Elementary School. From story scripts and character design to illustration, the works are filled with childlike imagination and told entirely from a young learner’s perspective. They vividly portray various road-safety hazards, using playful scenes to spark reflection on the question: “Who truly owns the road?”

Through parent-child reading, the books also help convey the correct concept of public right of way and shared responsibility in traffic environments.

This project, facilitated by the National Library Teacher Guidance Group, brought together a Canadian teacher from Renwu Senior High School, Nancy Bernadette Zimmer, who has 30 years of teaching experience, to record the two picture books as audiobooks. Through carefully selected background music and expressive intonation, the narration adds a lively and engaging atmosphere to the story. Teachers and parents can use the audiobooks as a language-learning resource, guiding children into the story world while helping them understand English meanings and build vocabulary in an immersive and enjoyable way.
